Regrettably, due to a scheduling conflict, the Tidewater EMS Council has made the decision to change the date of the 2023 Tidewater Healthcare Education Expo.

Planning has already begun for next year's Expo for May 16-21, 2023 which will be held in Chesapeake Virginia. Please "Save the Date" for this important EMS community event for which the theme will continue to be:  “Resilience in action... answering the call, managing the stress”. The Tidewater Healthcare Education Expo is an opportunity to network with fellow EMS professionals while receiving excellent training to enhance your EMS career.

Please continue to visit the Tidewater Healthcare Education Expo website and social media channels (FacebookInstagram and Twitter) for updates on Registration, Speakers and Training Options.

For Instructors:

The Annual Tidewater Healthcare Education Expo will be composed of multiple tracks covering ALS, BLS, Nurse/Medic and Hot Topics which include the following topics: Current Trends, Communications, Critical Care, Educator, Medical, Operations, Special Considerations and Trauma. The Expo is scheduled for April 25th to April 30th, 2023.

The Tidewater EMS Education Expo is one of the state's premier educational opportunities for EMS providers and Nurses to obtain continuing education credits and to network with peers. Each year, more than 150 registrants choose from 5 different tracks over the 5-day event.
National and local educators participate to make this event one of the top pre-hospital educational opportunities in the state.

Any person with an interest in participating as an Instructor is encouraged to submit “session” proposals for presentation during the 2023 TEMS EMS Education Expo. Sessions generally run for 1 hour. Pre-convention (Tuesday and Wednesday) sessions vary in length from 1.5 hours up to 8 hours to allow for Auxiliary course offerings (i.e. ACLS, AMLS). To be considered for the THEE, please submit a proposal no later than November 30, 2022. We encourage you to submit more than one topic, since speakers are usually asked to present a minimum of two or three lectures, and include a brief (no more than 150 words) description for each lecture that could be used in a conference brochure. You will be contacted to let you know whether or not your topics meet our needs.

Call for Presentations Information and General Instructions.

The program committee will notify applicants of accepted presentations no later than November 30, 2023.
You must submit a CV, resume, or statement of qualifications. If submitting a statement of qualifications, include any professional credentials or licenses held or any university degrees, and current job title. If you are qualified through experience not reflected in your current job title, a description of that qualification must be included. Links to or reprints of the speaker’s personal web page will not be accepted.
