Peninsulas EMS Council, Inc. Performance Improvement Coordinator Peninsulas EMS Council, Inc. is looking to fill the part time position of Performance Improvement Coordinator. The Performance Improvement Coordinator plans, designs and proliferates appropriate performance improvement initiatives within the Peninsulas EMS Region. He/she shall participate in case reviews, data collection and reporting; provides coordination and oversight activities in collaboration with agency and medical facilities’ quality management programs; ensures that providers, agencies and hospitals have the support, tools, and feedback needed to perform effective quality management programs; monitors the effectiveness of the PEMS regional protocols; completes or assists in other programs and requirements as directed .Minimum Education and Experience: Certification as a Nationally Registered or Virginia Paramedic in good standing with the Virginia Office of EMS, three years of experience in emergency medical services work at the Paramedic or Intermediate level, and must possess and maintain a valid Virginia driver’s license with a good driving record. Preferred Requirements: Associates Degree in health science or related field, two years EMS leadership experience, strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), and Six Sigma background or similar program familiarity.

Northampton County is very rural, located in northeastern North Carolina approximately 1 1/2 hours north east of Raleigh and 2 hours from the coast. We offer Aggressive protocols. FIRE OPERATIONS OFFICER (Position #5152) Norfolk Fire-Rescue Department: Assignment could include either 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, or rotating shifts including days, nights, evenings, weekends, holidays and/or 24 hour shifts as Operations support equivalent to a 40 hour work week.
Description: Essential Functions: Transports equipment, information and/or people among facilities by car or light vehicle to and between various locations and ensures proper vehicle maintenance. Transport non-emergent patients to medical facilities. Monitors, receives and records phone calls. Maintains files and records. Helps perform administrative and office duties. Ability to attain within the probationary period (six months) Commonwealth of Virginia EMT-Basic certification. Ability to learn and use Fire-Rescue/City of Norfolk computer systems. Follows oral and/or written instructions to interpret local regulations. Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb for extended periods of time.
