Tidewater Honors EMS Providers During 2005 EMS Week
The Tidewater EMS Council's EMS Promotion and Recognition Workgroup sponsored vehicle and equipment displays for the public at two area malls as part of 2005 EMS week activities. The Council also placed display ads on May 11 and 14, 2005 in the Virginian Pilot newspaper featuring our 2004 regional award winners and calling attention to National EMS Week and co-hosted an EMS Week party at a local restaurant.
The Tidewater EMS Council's EMS Promotion and Recognition Workgroup sponsored vehicle and equipment displays for the public at two area malls as part of 2005 EMS week activities. Displays were held on May 7 at Chesapeake Square Mall in Chesapeake and at Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach. The council thanks those agencies participating in the mall displays: Chesapeake Fire Department, Chesapeake CERT, Emergency Nurses of Tidewater, Nansemond Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad, Network Medical Systems, Norfolk Fire-Rescue, Ocean Park VRS, Plaza VRS, Sentara Trauma Nurses, Suffolk Fire Rescue, Portsmouth Fire and Rescue, the Tidewater Center for Life Support Training, Virginia Beach CERT, Virginia Beach EMT Students and the Virginia Beach Search & Rescue and Bike Team. Special thanks to Leilani deForest for coordinating the Pembroke Mall site and to Daryl Clements for the Chesapeake Square Site.
