Mall Displays Kick Off EMS Week Celebration

On May 11, the TEMS Community Service, Marketing and Promotions Committee coordinated EMS displays at two area shopping malls. The displays were an early kick off for National EMS Week, May 19 - 25, 2002.

Lynnhaven Mall and Chesapeake Square Mall were the sites of various EMS displays on May 11 including ambulances, specialty teams and units, Nightingale, Andy the Ambulance robot and much more. Click here for more pictures.

Mall display coordinators Leilani DeForest (Lynnhaven) and Lisa Crouch (Chesapeake Square), and the council's entire Community Service, Marketing and Promotions Committee, want to thank all those who contributed their time and equipment to make the event a reality.

Other regional activities during EMS week included wrecked car displays with "Wear your seatbelt" messages, presentations to area Rotary clubs and other community organizations, and various public service ads in local media.
